Six places we send everyone to.
Each season has its case.
Mt Baker opens late November and runs through April most years. The cabin is warm before you arrive, and the hot tub never feels better than after a day on the mountain. Bring chains if you're driving past Glacier.
Snowmelt makes the Nooksack run loud and green. Lower-elevation hikes open up by mid-April. Wildflowers on the south-facing slopes by May.
Long evenings on the deck. Artist Point opens (usually) by late July. Endless hiking, biking, and fishing within minutes of the cabin.
The maples around the cabin turn yellow in late September. Larches up at Heather Meadows turn gold in early October — worth the drive even if you don't hike.
